LMTA has been established to provide a full musical theatre curriculum to students, to nurture them through all aspects of musical theatre training with the purpose of ensuring each student excels to their fullest potential.
ALL ABOUT OUR ACADEMY
LMTA’s Founder, Laura-Marie Scott, was taught and guided through her own teaching exams by the Principal of Colin’s Performing Arts (later CPA Studios), Mr Colin Putz. After almost ten years at the school and completion of her teaching exams, Laura was immediately offered a teaching role at the school, where she remained loyally for 22 years, until its unexpected closure in August 2018.
Laura opened LMTA, as she wanted to ensure that the standards and principals that had been taught to her and the foundation of the teaching at CPA would continue for future generations of students.
Laura has personally trained hundreds of students through examinations, including Rochelle Humes, Jessie J, James Buckley, Frankie Bridge, Ann-Marie, Sonny J, Matt Crandon, Jack Shalloo, Dean Charles-Chapman and many others who have gone on to perform in the Westend, UK and International Tours, TV and the music industry.
